Summer Camp 2016 Information For Scouts

After many months of research we have a plan for Summer Camp 2016, we will be camping at Drum Hill Scout Campsite, Little Eaton, Derby.

The event will run from July 23rd to July 27th 2016 (Saturday to Wednesday)

We are still in the process of finalising the cost but we are looking for the cost of the camp to be between £85 & £100. If you are interested in coming to camp please return the attached slip along with a £20 deposit (cheques made payable to 11th Rugby Admirals Scout Group) to Scouts by 29th Feb 2016. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, if places can’t be filled we will then open them up to the cubs.

At a later date a full kit list and health form will be issued, should you have any questions or queries about the camp please don’t hesitate to ask.

St Georges Day Parade Details

Sunday the 26th April
13:30 – All groups, sections and units are to arrive in Caldecott Park and assemble by their marker
13:45 – Parade is assembled by the parade Marshall.
14:00 – Parade leaves the park for Lawrence Sherriff school.
Full and correct uniform is to be worn by all, no jeans or trainers are to be worn.
This years salute will be take by the VIPs just before the school before the crossing on Clifton road. Only the leaders are to salute and the young people are to look to the right.
This year there is a monetary collection, the proceeds will be donated to the food bank to allow them to buy the items that are most needed.
Can the groups, sections and units also bring some pens/pencils with them for one of the activities during the service.
As we are hoping for a dry and sunny parade it is planned that we will be outside on the sports field.
The decision to wear coats is weather dependant and will be made by the parade Marshall on the day.
Should the weather force us to be indoors shoe protectors are to be worn by all in the hall, these will be provided by the district.

Scout & Cub Summer Camp

This year the  Scouts & Cubs Summer Camp will be at the fantastic Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre in the heart of the New Forest.

The centre has a range of challenging activities, including climbing, abseiling, zip wire, raft building, crate stacking, etc, a number of which the Scouts & Cubs will be trying out!

More details on the Ferny Crofts Activity Centre can be found here.

The photos below show some of the things that we got up to on last years camp.
